Bell branded AlexTel Videotex Terminal was manufactured by Northern Telecom for Bell Canada around 1991.

Designed for Bell’s AlexTel videotext online service, this monochrome terminal features a built-in 1200-baud modem and a VT100 terminal-emulation port. AlexTel provided users with access to online information services through their telephone line, connected to what would eventually become the Internet.

These terminals were eventually taken out of service, and most were scrapped. It’s a great reminder of the Canadian online services and the technology that helped shape the Internet become what it is today
