The display was donated to the Cobourg Museum in Cobourg, Ontario, Canada. It offers a useful look at the internal construction of the Contempra and complements the other Northern Electric and Northern Telecom Contempra examples in the Old Telephone Room collection.
The Contempra, introduced in the 1967, was a common telephone in many Canadian homes and offices and became known for its modern design and reliable service.
