The Northern Telecom Red Meridian M3000 Touchphone holds a unique place in television history.
This telephone appeared in Stargate SG-1, Season 5, Episode 4, “The Fifth Man,” first broadcast on July 20, 2001.

The M3000 Touchphone below is a reproduction of the iconic “Red Phone” as seen on Major General George S. Hammond’s desk.
It is a fully functional 1985 Northern Telecom Meridian M3000 Touchphone, operable when connected to a power supply and a Meridian SL-1 PBX.
It has been carefully customized for display. A replica overlay has been added to match the on screen look of the prop, faithfully recreating the details seen during filming.
Just like the version used on set, this phone has been painted to match the striking red finish that made it such a memorable prop.
